Our NICU Stay

After living at the hospital for 3 months…where do we begin?

We cannot begin to tell you how wonderful the entire staff of doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, administration and hospital employees have been at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies. Not only did they take great care of mommy throughout and post delivery, but they have gone above and beyond countless times for our quadruplets. We have received the highest level of care and compassion and we know that the choice to deliver there was ordained by God!

The babies have been extremely healthy since birth and simply needed more time to grow, being that they were born at 29 weeks + 2 days. They have been on only room air since birth needing just a small push of air by nasal cannula. All testing has come back completely normal and for that we owe all the glory to our Lord Jesus Christ. We are so appreciate for all of the prayers from everyone, many whom we do not know personally.

Having said all of that, we are SO eager to get home and establish our new “normal.” We have been living apart since delivery (Michelle with the babies in Orlando and Doug in Melbourne-he has to work!) and the distance adds just another challenge to this journey. We get to see each other on the weekends and enjoy every moment we spend together.
